The present invention provides a process for producing a monoalkylated aromatic compound, particularly cumene, comprising the step of contacting a polyalkylated aromatic compound with an alkylatable aromatic compound under at least partial liquid phase conditions and in the presence of a transalkylation catalyst to produce the monoalkylated aromatic compound, wherein the transalkylation catalyst comprises a mixture of at least two different crystalline molecular sieves, wherein each of said molecular sieves is selected from zeolite beta, zeolite Y, mordenite and a material having an X- ray diffraction pattern including d-spacing maxima at 12.4.plusmnØ25,6.9.plusmnØ15,3.57.plusmnØ07 and 3,42.plusmnØ07 Angstrom.
L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'un composé aromatique monoalkylé, notamment le cumène, consistant à mettre en contact un composé aromatique polyalkylé avec un composé aromatique pouvant être alkylé dans des conditions de phase liquide au moins partielle et en présence d'un catalyseur de transalkylation afin de produire le composé aromatique monoalkylé, le catalyseur de transalkylation comprenant un mélange d'au moins deux tamis moléculaires cristallins différents, chacun des tamis moléculaire étant sélectionné dans le groupe constitué par un zéolite bêta, un zéolite Y, une mordénite et un matériau possédant un diagramme de diffraction des rayons X correspondant à un maximum d'espacement d à 12.4.plusmnØ25,6.9.plusmnØ15,3.57.plusmnØ07 et 3,42.plusmnØ07 Angström.
