A process for the alkylation of saturated hydrocarbons by reacting an alkylatable compound with an alkylation agent to form a product stream comprising alkylate. The process involves the use of a series of at least two reactors. During the process, the product stream is subjected to an interstage distillation step, thereby removing at least a portion of the alkylate from the product stream before the product stream is introduced into a downstream reactor. In this process the alkylate concentration is kept at a relatively low level, thereby minimising the amount of undesired by-products that can be formed by, e.g., degradation of alkylate and condensation of degradation products.
L'invention concerne un procédé d'alkylation d'hydrocarbures saturés qui consiste à faire réagir un composé pouvant être alkylé avec un agent d'alkylation pour former un flux de produit contenant un alkylat. Ce procédé consiste à utiliser une série d'au moins deux réacteurs. Au cours du procédé, le flux de produit est soumis à une opération de distillation interétage dans laquelle au moins une partie de d'alkylat est extraite du flux de produit avant que ce dernier ne soit introduit dans un réacteur en aval. Dans ce procédé, la concentration d'alkylat est maintenue à un niveau relativement bas, ce qui permet de réduire au minimum la quantité de sous-produits non désirés pouvant provenir de la dégradation de l'alkylat et de la condensation des produits de dégradation, par exemple.
