The invention relates to a process for the production of alkylated aromatic compounds comprising introducing olefin and aromatic compounds into at least first and second vertically spaced catalytic reaction zones in an alkylation unit under alkylation reaction conditions to provide an alkylated product, wherein the second catalytic reaction zone is positioned above the first catalytic reaction zone; wherein aromatic compound from each of the at least first and second catalytic reaction zones are contacted with a cooling means for re-condensing at least a portion of the aromatic compounds vaporized from the exothermic heat of reaction of the alkylation process; and wherein the olefin is introduced into the at least first and second catalytic reaction zones via respective first and second olefin feed streams at respective olefin feed rates such as to maintain olefin partial pressures at inlets to at least first and second catalytic reaction zones which vary by less than about ten percent. The invention additionally relates to an apparatus for practicing the alkylation process of the invention.
L'invention concerne un procédé pour la production de composés aromatiques alkylés consistant à introduire une oléfine et des composés aromatiques dans au moins une première zone catalytique et une seconde zone catalytique placées séparément l'une au dessus de l'autre dans une unité d'alkylation dans des conditions de réaction d'alkylation pour produire un produit alkylé, la seconde zone de réaction catalytique étant positionnée au-dessus de la première zone de réaction catalytique, caractérisé en ce que les composés aromatiques provenant de chacune des zones de réaction catalytique sont mis en contact avec des moyens de réfrigération servant à re-condenser au moins une partie des composés aromatiques vaporisés par la chaleur exothermique de réaction du procédé d'alkylation et en ce que l'oléfine est introduite dans les zones de réaction catalytique via un premier et un second flux d'alimentation en oléfine respectifs à des débits d'alimentation en oléfine respectifs tels qu'ils maintiennent des pressions partielles d'oléfine au niveau des entrées vers les zones de réaction catalytique qui varient de moins d'environ dix pour cent. L'invention concerne en plus un appareil servant à pratiquer le procédé d'alkylation de l'invention.
