ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Novel alkylcarboxamides of pyridylalkylamines, or one of their pharmaceutically-acceptable salts, and pharmaceutical preparations containing such compounds are provided herein. These compounds correspond to the general Formula I: Image (I) when n = 0 or 1 and in which X and Y are different, wherein X and Y each represent -(CH2)m-CH3, m being a number between 0 and 14 or wherein X and Y together form unsubstituted, saturated or unsaturated, cyclic hydrocarbon radicals, having from 3 to 12 carbon atoms. These compounds are useful in human or veterinary medicine, for causing at least one of the following effects in humans: para-sympathomimetic, antihypertensive, bradycardiac, antianoxic, analgesic, anti-spasmotic or broncholytic.
