The present invention concerns the preparation of purified allergens and allergoids, both derived from whole bee venom, for the desensitisation (immunotherapy) of subjects affected by a specific allergy. In particular, the present invention concerns a preparation for immunotherapy based on purified bee venom, characterised in that said bee venom is essentially mellitin-free. In addition, the preparation of a monomeric allergoid obtainable through the carbamylation or thiocarbamylation reaction of said mellitin-free bee venom, is described. Said allergoid, being characterised by reduced IgE-binding activity, may be a safer and more effective candidate for specific immunotherapy.
La présente invention concerne la préparation d'allergoïdes et d'allergènes purifiés, dérivés tous les deux de venin d'abeille, pour la désensibilisation (immunothérapie) de sujets affectés par une allergie spécifique. En particulier, la présente invention concerne une préparation pour immunothérapie à base de venin d'abeille purifié, caractérisée en ce que ledit venin d'abeille est essentiellement sans melitine. En outre, l'invention concerne la préparation d'un allergoïde monomère pouvant être obtenu par réaction de carbamylation ou de thiocarbamylation dudit venin d'abeille sans melitine. Ledit allergoïde, caractérisé par une activité de liaison à l'IgE réduite, peut être un candidat plus sûr et plus efficace pour l'immunothérapie spécifique.
