C-06-12-0553 ALLYL ALCOHOL POLYMERS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Terpolymers of a monovinyl aromatic monomer such as styrene, a C3-C7 allylic alcohol such as allyl alcohol and an ester of a C3-C7 allylic alcohol and a C7-C12 monovalent aromatic acid, wherein the terpolymer preferably contains an average of from about 2 to 4 allylic alcohol units and at least one allylic ester per molecule. The terpolymers are used in surface coatings in blends with acrylic resins and nitrocelluloses. Blends of the ter- polymers with polyols and polyisocyanates yield poly- urethanes.
