Allylbicyclo[2.2.1]hept-5-ene-2-carboxylic acids and derivatives thereof Abstract of the Disclosure The present invention relates to amides of formula I Image (I) wherein R1, R2 and R3 are each independently hydrogen or methyl, m is 1 to 5 and n is 1 to 5 and R4 is -NH2 or is derived from a mono- to pentavalent amine. Intermediates of formula VIII Image (YIII) wherein R1, R2, R3 and m are as defined above and X ls a carboxylic acid or acid ester group, -COCl, -COBr, -CHO or -CN, are also described. The compounts of formula I can be polymerised thermally. They are sultable for tbe preparation of adhesives, matrix resins or elec- trical insulating materials.
