ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION This invention describes certain .alpha.-allenyl-3-phenoxybenzyl alcohols of the formula Image in which each of Y1 and Y2 is halogen or hydroxyl. These compounds are intermediates in the preparation of certain cyclopropanecarboxylic acid esters of the formula Image in which Y1 and Y2 are as defined above, and X1 is halogen. These cyclopropane derivative esters are useful in the control of a variety of plant and animal pests.
