An alternator (10) has a model plastic, electrically conductive D.E. frame in which a sealed bearing is molded in place with the formation of the D.E. frame (14). When the D.E. frame is removed from its plastics injection mold and while the frame is still hot, the stator is installed in the D.E. frame and the frame allowed to cool and constrict about the stator (24). The companion S.R.E. frame (16) is preferably fabricated of non-conductive plastics material.

Alternateur qui possède un palier côté commande électriquement conducteur en plastique moulé dans lequel un coussinet hermétiquement fermé est moulé en place lors de la formation du palier (14) côté commande. Lorsque ledit palier est enlevé de son moule d'injection de plastique et tandis que ce palier est encore très chaud, le stator est installé dans le palier côté commande et ce dernier est amené à refroidir, enserrant ainsi le stator. Le palier côté stator-régulateur associé est de préférence fabriqué à partir d'une matière plastique non conductrice.
