T 1157 A B S T R A C T ALUMINIUM-STRONTIUM MASTER ALLOY A process is described for the preparation of an aluminium- strontium master alloy suitable for use as structure refiner during the solidification of molten aluminium-silicon alloys, comprising atomizing a molten alloy containing 3 to 30% by weight of strontium, the balance being aluminium, quick cooling of the atomized droplets to obtain solid particles and consolidation of the obtained solid particles.
