Au moins un précurseur gazeux du dépôt à réaliser comprenant un composé de l'aluminium est amené avec l'aide d'un gaz porteur au contact des surfaces de la pièce disposée dans une enceinte. Le gaz porteur est choisi parmi l'hélium et l'jargon et la pression dans l'enceinte est choisie de manière que le libre parcours moyen des molécules de gaz porteur soit au moins deux fois supérieur à celui des molécules d'jargon sous pression atmosphérique. Le procédé convient notamment pour l'aluminisation de secteur d'anneau de turbine basse pression d'une turbomachine, muni d'un revêtements abradable en nid d'abeilles.
