A process for making aluminosilicates of zeolite N structure comprising the steps of: (i) combining a water soluble monovalent cation, a solution of hydroxyl anions and an aluminosilicate to form a resultant mixture having a pH greater than 10 and a H2O/Al203 ratio in the range 30 to 220; (ii) heating the resultant mixture to a temperature of between 50oC and the boiling point of the mixture for a time between 1 minute and 100 hours until a crystalline product of zeolite N structure is formed as determined by X-ray diffraction or other suitable characteristic; and (iii) separating the zeolite N product as a solid from the mixture.

Un procédé de production d'aluminosilicates de zéolite à structure N comprend les étapes suivantes: (i) on combine un cation monovalent soluble dans l'eau, une solution d'anions hydroxyle et un aluminosilicate pour former un mélange résultant ayant un pH supérieur à 10 et un rapport H¿2?O/Al¿2?0¿3? compris entre 30 et 220; (ii) on chauffe le mélange résultat à une température comprise entre 50 ·C et la température d'ébullition du mélange pendant une durée comprise entre 1 minute et 100 heures jusqu'à ce que se forme un produit cristallin de zéolite à structure N déterminé par diffraction des rayons X ou tout autre caractéristique appropriée; et (iii) on sépare du mélange, sous une forme solide, le produit de zéolite de type N.
