Abstract of the Disclosure An aluminum base alloy product suitable for forming into wrought products including fin or tube stock for heat exchanger assemblies is disclosed. The alloy product contains essentially 2 to 13 wt.% Si, 4 max. wt.% Zn, 0.005 to 2 wt.% Sr, up to 1 wt.% Fe and up to 1 wt.% Cu, the balance essentially aluminum and impurities, the alloy product, when formed into a wrought product, having a substantially uniform distribution of relatively fine, generally equiaxed constituents comprised mainly of elemental silicon.
