ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An aluminum alloy suitable for heat exchanger components assembled by brazing with a flux of non- corrosive fluoride complexes, the alloy having improved brazing characteristics by containing 0.3 to 0.8% of Mg, 4.0 to 8.0% of Zn, and one or more of 0.05 to 0.30% of Zr, 0.05 to 0.30% of Mn, 0.05 to 0.30% of Cr, and 0.05 to 0.30% of Cu, the balance being aluminum and unavoidable impurities.
