A tab that is attached to the top of a container (specifically aluminum drinking cans) that opens the container. A section of the same tab has a raised surface for easy manipulation of the tab. By pulling the tab 90° the container is opened. The tab has a point of attachment from where it can be horizontally rotated. The tab has an enlarged end for covering the opening of the container by rotating the tab 180°. With the enlarged tab portion being larger than the opening that it covers.
