Abstract of the disclosures Novel amides of acyl-carnitines havlng general formula Image whereln R' is acetyl, proplonyl, butyryl (unsubstituted or halogen-substituted) isobutyryl, .beta.-hydroxybutyryl, acetoacetyl, pantothenyl, and linoleyl, and R" is either an unsubstituted amino radical (provided that R' is ather than acetyl) or a substituted amino radical, are therapeutically effective in treatment of functional arrythmias or arrhythmias secondary to myocardial- -sclerotic diseases and as psychosti-mulants.
