Teicoplanin is an antibiotic substance active mainly against gram-positive bacteria and its derivatives, which are collectively named "teicoplanin compounds", are the components, pseudoaglycones and aglycone thereof. The compounds of the invention are obtained according to a proper amidation process and are active as antibiotics.
