The subject invention relates to a two component foundry binder system that cures in the presence of an amine curing catalyst, preferably a volatile amine. One component of the binder system comprises (1) an effective amount of an oxidizing agent, and preferably (2) an epoxy component. The other component comprises (1) an organic polyisocyanate, (2) and (2) an acrylate monomer having at least two acrylate functional groups selected from the group consisting of ketal, acetal and formal acrylate monomers.
