An amine salt of a lignan compound, i.e., [1-O-[4-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-2-(3- ethylpentanoyl)-5,6,7-trimethoxy-3-(methoxycarbonyl)naphthalen-1-yl]-.beta.-D- glucopyranoside]uronic acid. The salt is useful as a medicine. Also provided is a method of purifying the lignan compound.
