ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The amine salts of amino acid compositions have been found to be effective as a delayed action catalyst for organo- metallic catalyzed urethane synthesis. The acid which provides the basis for the salts is characterized generally by reacting an amine with an unsaturated acid, or with formaldehyde and hydrogen cyanide followed by hydrolysis of the resulting nitrile.
