Polymers of maleic, fumaric of malic acids or maleic, fumaric or malic acid and ammonia with amino acids are prepared by heating at 180°-350°C, preferably 200°- 300°C. The polymer formed may be converted to a salt by hydrolysis with a metal hydroxide or ammonium hydroxide.

Polymères des acides maléique, fumarique ou malique ou d'acide maléique, fumarique ou malique et d'ammoniac contenant des acides aminés, qui sont préparés par chauffe à 180-350 ~C, de préférence à 200-300 ~C.
