The invention concerns novel amino acid derivatives and their use as medicines. Said derivatives have an inhibiting activity towards NO-synthase enzymes producing nitrogen monoxide NO and/or (optionally): either an activity trapping reactive oxygen species (ROS); or an activity regenerating antioxidants such as glutathion or entities trapping reactive oxygen species (ROS) and more generally an influence in the redox status of thiol group.

La présente invention concerne de nouveaux dérivés d'aminoacides et leur application à titre de médicaments. Ces dérivés présentent une activité inhibitrice des enzymes NO-synthases produisant le monoxyde d'azote NO et/ou (au choix): soit une activité piégeuse des formes réactives de l'oxygène (ROS pour "reactive oxygen species"); soit une activité régénératrice d'antioxydants comme le glutathion ou d'entités piégeuses des formes réactives de l'oxygène (ROS pour "reactive oxygen species") et d'une façon plus générale une influence dans le statut rédox des groupement thiols.
