ABSTRACT There is disclosed a novel composition formed of an amino acid terminated polyester having a predetermined monomeric sequence comprising at least one amine and at least three monomeric units derived from at least one hydroxyacid. In addition, a process is disclosed for forming such polyesters and there is also disclosed medical devices made in whole or in part from such polyesters. The novel polyesters have improved properties.
