ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE : New aminopropanolderivatives of 4-hydroxy-1,2- benzisothiazole and their addition salts with acids, their preparation, and pharmaceutical formulations which contain the said compounds and may be used for the treat- ment and prophylaxis of cardiac and circulatory disorders. These new compounds have the following general formula I : Image (I) where R is hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 8 carbon atom which may be unsubstituted or substituted by hydroxyl, alkoxy of 1 to 3 carbon atoms, alkylthio of 1 to 3 carbon atoms, dialkylamino (where alkyl is of 1 to 5 carbon atoms), cycloal- kylamino of 3 to 7 carbon atoms in the ring, piperidine or cycloalkyl of 3 to 8 carbon atoms in the ring, or is alkenyl or alkynyl of 2 to 8 carbon atoms, or is cycloalkyl or cycloalkenyl of 3 to 8 carbon atoms in the ring or bicy- cloalkyl of 5 to 8 carbon atoms, the cycloalkyl rings being unsubstituted or substituted by lower alkyl of 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and its addition salts with physiologically safe acids.
