ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides 3-(amino substituted)- tolypomycinones, the 3-(amino substituted)-16,17-dihydrotolypomy- cinones, the 3,16-di-(amino substituted)-16,17-dihydrotolypomy- cinones, the 3-(amino substituted)-1,4-dihydrotolypomycinones, the 3-(amino substituted)-1,4,16,17-tetrahydrotolypomycinones and the 3,16-di-(amino substituted)-1,4,16,17-tetrahydroto1ypomyci- nones useful as antibiotics and having excellent stability to acids. The present invention also provides for their preparation.
