This invention relates to a method of treating disorders responsive to the blockade of sodium ion channels using novel aminoalkyl-substituted aryl compounds of Formula (I), or a pharmaceutically-acceptable salt or solvate thereof, wherein n, X, Rl, R2 and R3 are defined in the specification. The invention is also directed to the use of compounds of Formula (I) for the treatment of neuronal damage following global or focal ischemia, for the treatment or prevention of neurodegenerative conditions such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and for the treatment, prevention or amelioration of acute or chronic pain, neuropathic pain or surgical pain, as antitinnitus agents, as anticonvulsants, and as antimanic depressants, as local anesthetics, as antiarrhythmics and for the treatment or prevention of diabetic neuropathy.
L'invention concerne une méthode permettant de traiter des troubles sensibles au blocage des canaux ioniques du sodium au moyen de composés d'aryle substitués par un aminoalkyle de formule (I) ou un sel acceptable pharmaceutiquement ou un solvate associé, n, X, R¿l?, R¿2? et R¿3? étant définis tels que dans la spécification. Cette invention a également trait à l'utilisation des composés de formule (I) dans le traitement de dommages neuronaux suite à une ischémie focale ou globale, dans le traitement ou la prévention de troubles neurodégénératifs, tels qu'une sclérose latérale amyotrophique et dans le traitement, la prévention ou l'amélioration d'une douleur chronique ou aiguë, d'une douleur neuropathique ou d'une douleur chirurgicale, en tant qu'agents anti-acouphènes, anticonvulsivants, et dépresseurs antimaniaques, anesthésiques locaux, anti-arythmisants, et dans le traitement ou la prévention de la neuropathie diabétique.
