This invention relates to an aminoglycoside composition having reduced nephrotoxicity induced by the aminoglycoside which comprises a selected aminoglycoside and a compound present in an effective amount selected from the group consisting of (a) at least one 7-(oxoalkyl) 1,3-dialkyl xanthine of the formula (see fig.I) in which R1 and R2 are the same or different and are independently selected from the group consisting of straight-chain or branched alkyl radicals with 2 to 6 carbon atoms, cyclohexyl, straight-chain or branched chain alkoxyalkyl and hydroxylalkyl radicals; and A is a hydrocarbon radical with up to 4 carbon atoms which can be substituted by a methyl group; (b) a compound of the formula (see fig.II) wherein at least one of R3 and R4 is a - 2 - Image branched hydroxyalkyl group of the formula with a tertiary alcohol function, which R 6 stands for an alkyl group with 1 to 3 carbon atoms and n stands for a whole number from 2 to 5, the other R3 or R4 group that may optionally be present stands for a hydrogen atom or an aliphatic hydrocarbon group R7 with up to 6 carbon atoms, whose carbon chain may be interrupted by up to 2 oxygen atoms or may be substituted with an oxo group or up to two hydroxyl groups R5 is an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; and (c) a suitable mixture of the foregoing.
La présente invention concerne une composition d'aminoglycoside se caractérisant par une néphrotoxicité induite par l'aminoglycoside réduite et qui comprend un aminoglycoside choisi et un composé présent dans une quantité efficace choisi parmi le groupe constitué a) d'au moins une (oxoalkyl)-7-dialkyl-1,3-xanthine de formule (voir fig. I) dans laquelle R1 et R2 sont identiques ou différents et sont choisis indépendamment l'un de l'autre parmi le groupe constitué des radicaux alkyle à chaîne linéaire ou ramifiée de 2 à 6 atomes de carbone, du radical cyclohexyle, des radicaux alcoxyalkyle et hydroxylalkyle à chaîne linéaire ou ramifiée; et A est un radical hydrocarboné comptant jusqu'à 4 atomes de carbone qui peut être substitué par un groupe méthyle; b) d'un composé de formule (voir fig. II) où au moins un parmi R3 et R4 est un groupe hydroxyalkyle ramifié de formule (voir fig. III) portant une fonction alcool tertiaire, où R6 représente un groupe alkyle de 1 à 3 atomes de carbone et n représente un nombre entier de 2 à 5, l'autre groupe parmi R3 ou R4 qui peut être présent représente un atome d'hydrogène ou un groupe hydrocarboné aliphatique R7 comptant jusqu'à 6 atomes de carbone, dont la chaîne carbonée peut être interrompue par jusqu'à 2 atomes d'oxygène, ou qui peut être substitué par un groupe oxo ou jusqu'à deux groupes hydroxyle et R5 est un groupe alkyle de 1 à 4 atomes de carbone; et c) d'un mélange approprié des composés précédents.
