A crosslinking agent having reactive benzoxazine groups is provided. The crosslinking agent is the ungelled reaction product of a polyhydric aromatic compound and an aminotriazine compound having one or less non-alkylated NH bond per triazine ring. The crosslinking agent is essentially free of hydroxyl functionality and has a glass transition temperature of at least 10~C. Additionally provided is a method for preparing the crosslinking agent. Also provided is a curable powder coating composition including a solid particulate, film-forming mixture of a polymer having functional groups reactive with benzoxazine groups and the crosslinking agent. Further provided is a multilayer composite coating composition having a base coat layer deposited from a film-forming base coating composition and a topcoat layer deposited from the curable powder coating composition. Coated substrates are also provided.
L'invention concerne un agent de réticulation renfermant des groupes benzoxazine réactifs. Cet agent de réticulation est dérivé d'un produit réactionnel non gélifié d'un composé aromatique polyhydrique et d'un composé aminotriazine comprenant au plus une liaison NH non alkylée par cycle triazine. L'agent de réticulation est sensiblement exempt de fonctionnalité hydroxy et présente une température de transition vitreuse supérieure ou égale à 10 ·C. L'invention concerne également un procédé destiné à la préparation de cet agent de réticulation. L'invention concerne également une composition de revêtement en poudre durcissable renfermant un mélange filmogène particulaire solide d'un polymère renfermant des groupes fonctionnels réagissant aux groupes benzoxazine et l'agent de réticulation. L'invention concerne également une composition de revêtement composite multicouche comprenant une couche de base obtenue à partir d'une composition de revêtement de base filmogène et une couche de finition déposée sur la couche de base et obtenue à partir de ladite composition de revêtement en poudre durcissable. L'invention concerne également des substrats à revêtement.
