New ammonium stannates-(IV) Abstract Ammonium stannates of the formula [(R1)a(R2)bN(R3)c(R4)d]n?[(R7)qSnXrYt]?? (I) in which the symbols R1, R2, R3, R4, R7, X, Y, a, b, c, d, n, q, r, t and w are as defined in the description, are effective biocides. They can be used both for the pro- tection of materials and for protecting crop plants. Their good solubility in water and their low volatility are parti- cularly valuable properties.
