A curable epoxy resin composition including (a) a thermosettable epoxy resin; and (b) an amphiphilic block copolymer containing at least one epoxy resin miscible block segment and at least one epoxy resin immiscible block segment; wherein the immiscible block segment comprises at least one polyether structure provided that the polyether structure of said immiscible block segment contains at least one or more alkylene oxide monomer units having at least four carbon atoms, such that when the epoxy resin composition is cured, the toughness of the resulting cured epoxy resin composition is increased. The amphiphilic block copolymer is preferably an all polyether block copolymer such as a PEO-PBO diblock copolymer or a PEO-PBO-PEO triblock copolymer.

L~invention concerne une composition de résine d~époxy vulcanisable comprenant : (a) une résine d~époxy thermodurcissable et (b) un copolymère bloc amphiphile contenant au moins un segment bloc miscible à la résine d~époxy et au moins un segment bloc immiscible à la résine d~époxy ; où le segment bloc immiscible comprend au moins une structure de polyéther, à condition que cette structure de polyéther dudit segment bloc immiscible contienne au moins une ou plusieurs unités monomères d~oxyde d~alkylène ayant au moins quatre atomes de carbone, pour qu'une fois la composition de résine d~époxy vulcanisée, la résistance de la composition de résine d~époxy vulcanisée résultante soit augmentée. Le copolymère bloc amphiphile est de préférence un copolymère bloc entièrement en polyéther comme un copolymère dibloc PEO-PBO ou un copolymère tribloc PEO-PBO-PEO
