Abstract of Disclosure A highly sensitive and specific amplified fluorogenic enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (FELISA) and kit therefor which utilizes nitrocellulose membranes as solid phase support, high affinity interaction between biotinylated monoclonal antibodies and avidin-conjugated enzyme, and a fluorogenic substrate, has been. developed for the detection and identification of analytes which induce an immune response such as Newcastle disease virus (NDV) in environmental samples. The technique is to times more sensitive than previously described FELISA tests.
