An amplifier (101) comprises a first transistor (N1) including a first conducting electrode to which an electric current is supplied, a control electrode coupled to the first conducting electrode, and a second conducting electrode coupled to a fixed voltage source, a second transistor (N0) including a first conducting electrode, a second conducting electrode, and a control electrode coupled to the control electrode of the first transistor (N1), a feedback resistance (RF) coupled to the control electrode of the second transistor (N0) for feeding back an output of the second transistor (N0) to the control electrode of the second transistor (N0), and a variable resistance element (M1) for controlling the ratio between an electric current flowing from the first conducting electrode of the first transistor (N1) to the control electrode of the second transistor (N0) and the feedback resistance (RF) and an electric current flowing from the first conducting electrode to the second conducting electrode of the first transistor (N1).
