An ampoule holder comprises a body part 1 and a head part 2 which are connected together by a pair of hinge strips 3 and a breakage link 4. A glass ampoule 7 is inserted, stem first, through an opening 6 in the base of the body portion . The body of the ampoule is forced past inwardly extending projections 8 until the lower end of the ampoule snaps past these projections and the shoulder at the top of the body of the ampoule 7 abuts against the curved hinge parts 3. The base of the ampoule will then be raised above the projections 8. The stem 10 of the ampoule is gripped within the head portion 2 of the holder by internal ribs or spines 11, so that the neck 9 of the ampoule is aligned with the breakage link 4. In order to achieve access to the contents of the ampoule the holder is gripped in two hands and pressure is applied to a finger grip surface 13 of the head portion of the holder so that the breakage link 4 is fractured and the stem 10 of the ampoule is broken off at the neck 9 whilst the head portion 2 is folded back by means of the hinge strips 3.

Une ampoule de verre (7) est insérée, tige première, par un orifice (6) réalisé dans la base du corps. Le corps de l'ampoule est enfoncé dans des saillies (8) orientées vers l'intérieur jusqu'à ce que l'extrémité inférieure de l'ampoule soit insérée par pression dans ces saillies et que l'épaule située au haut du corps de l'ampoule (7) soit en butée contre les éléments charnières courbes (3). La base de l'ampoule peut ensuite être soulevée au-dessus des saillies (8). La tige (10) de l'ampoule est pincée à l'intérieur de la tête (2) du porte-ampoule par des nervures ou des pointes (11), le col (9) de l'ampoule étant ainsi aligné avec le lien frangible (4). Pour avoir accès au contenu de l'ampoule, le support d'ampoule est saisi à deux mains et une pression est appliquée sur une surface (13) de la tête du support d'ampoule qui peut être pressée entre les doigts pour rompre le lien frangible (4) et briser la tige (10) de l'ampoule au col (9), en la pliant vers l'arrière à partir des bandes charnières (3).
