Absorbent articles suitable for use as diapers or other hygiene products are provided. The absorbent articles include a pair of refastenable tabs that have a non-elastic portion and a fastener portion. The non-elastic portion has a top edge and a bottom edge that are asymmetrical to each other with respect to a horizontal axis. Products according to the invention may provide any of several benefits, including a high performance in terms of at least one of fit, comfort, producibility, and ease of use.
