The present invention relates to an adjusting method for a roller section of a continuous casting machine which is provided with a section input side (6), a section output side (7) and a pair of roller carriers (1, 2) which each carry at least two rollers (3) extending over a supporting zone (4), with the roller carriers (1, 2) being mutually adjusted against one another by way of an adjusting unit arranged at the section input side (6) and at the section output side (7), with each adjusting unit being provided with two hydraulic cylinder units (8 to 11) arranged on either side of the supporting zone (4), characterized in that - the hydraulic cylinder units (8 to 11) can be adjusted both in a position-controlled and pressure-controlled manner; - the rollers (3) are placed in a position-controlled manner by the hydraulic cylinder units (8 to 11) against a metal billet (5) which is guided by the rollers (3); - the hydraulic cylinder units (8 to 11) are changed over from position-controlled to pressure-controlled operation when the pressure in the respective hydraulic cylinder unit (8 to 11) reaches a hydraulic cylinder threshold value.
L'invention concerne un procédé de réglage d'un segment de rouleaux d'une installation de coulée continue, lequel segment possède un côté entrée (6), un côté sortie (7) et une paire de supports de rouleaux (1, 2) portant respectivement au moins deux rouleaux (3) s'étendant au-dessus d'une zone d'appui (4). Les supports de rouleaux (1, 2) sont réglés l'un par rapport à l'autre par l'intermédiaire d'une unité de réglage disposée sur le côté entrée (6) du segment et d'une unité de réglage disposée sur le côté sortie (7) du segment, chaque unité de réglage comportant deux ensembles vérins hydrauliques (8 à 11) disposés de chaque côté de la zone d'appui (4). L'invention consiste en ce que ces ensembles vérins hydrauliques (8 à 11) sont réglables aussi bien par régulation de la position que par régulation de la pression, en ce que les rouleaux (3) sont réglés, par l'intermédiaire des ensembles vérins hydrauliques (8 à 11), par régulation de la position sur un brin métallique (5) guidé par lesdits rouleaux (3), et en ce que les ensembles vérins hydrauliques (8 à 11) passent du mode régulation de position au mode régulation de pression lorsque la pression dans les ensembles vérins hydrauliques respectifs (8 à 11) atteint une valeur limite.
