The present invention provides an agent for curing ophthalmological diseases which contains, as the active ingredient, a carbostyril derivative or salt thereof represented by general formula (I), wherein R is a halogen atom, particularly the invention provides effective agent for curing xerophalmia (dry eye) syndrome.
