Cette invention se rapporte à un médicament contre l'insuffisance rénale qui contient, comme principe actif, un dérivé d'acide oxalurique ayant un excellent effet inhibiteur contre la progression de l'insuffisance rénale. Ce composé, à savoir le dérivé d'acide oxalurique, possède un excellent effet inhibiteur contre la progression de l'insuffisance rénale, en inhibant de façon sensible l'augmentation de la créatinine dans le sang accompagnant la progression de l'insuffisance rénale, tout en présentant un degré de sécurité élevé avec peu d'effets secondaires. Ainsi, ce médicament est très utile comme médicament contre l'insuffisance rénale devant être administré sur une longue période.
