A method for performing continuous thermal hydrolysis of sludge by feeding the sludge into a tube reactor subsequently elevating the temperature and pressure in the reactor. The sludge is cooled by introducing water into the sludge instead of cooling the sludge with a heat exchanger or a similar unit.

L'invention porte sur un procédé destiné à effectuer une hydrolyse thermique continue de boues par introduction des boues dans un réacteur tubulaire puis élévation de la température et de la pression dans le réacteur. Au lieu de refroidir les boues au moyen dun échangeur de chaleur ou unité similaire, les boues sont refroidies en ajoutant de l'eau.
