An information process apparatus comprising: a recording medium; a magnetic material having a predetermined magnetization pattern with respect to the recording medium; a first means for detecting the magnetization pattern of the magnetic material; a second means for detecting a change of the recording medium; and a third means for driving the recording medium and the second means relative to each other, based on a signal from the first means.
