A centrifugal separator assembly connected to a reactor, such as a fluidized bed reactor, for separating solid particles from a gas discharged from its reactor chamber (10). Such separator assemblies comprise peripheral walls (32, 34, 36, 38) defining a vortex chamber (12). The peripheral walls include a common wall portion (32) connecting the separator assembly to the reactor chamber. A gas inlet (30) is arranged in a first wall portion (32') of the common wall portion (32), for introducing gas from the reactor chamber into the gas volume. The gas inlet includes at least two inlet ducts (30', 30") arranged side by side in the first wall portion within a < 90° sector of each of the at least one gas vortices, which are formed within the vortex chamber. The present invention also refers to a method of separating particles with the separator assembly.
Cette invention concerne un système de séparation centrifuge, lequel est relié à un réacteur, tel qu'un réacteur à lit fluidisé, et permet de séparer les particules solides que contiennent les gaz évacués de la chambre (10) dudit réacteur. Ce système de séparation comprend des parois périphériques (32, 34, 36, 38) qui définissent une chambre tourbillonnaire (12). Les parois périphériques possèdent une partie paroi commune (32) qui assure la connexion du système de séparation à la chambre du réacteur. Une admission de gaz (30) est disposée dans une première section (32') de la partie paroi commune (32), et assure l'introduction du gaz provenant de la chambre du réacteur dans le volume de gaz. L'admission de gaz comprend au moins deux conduits d'admission (30', 30''), lesquels sont disposés côte à côte dans la première section et dans un secteur inférieur à 90 DEG de chacun des tourbillons de gaz formés dans la chambre tourbillonnaire. Cette invention concerne également un procédé permettant de séparer des particules à l'aide de ce système de séparation.
