An apparatus (5) for cutting a wellbore (1) is disclosed, the apparatus (5) comprising a motor provided with a stator (13) and a rotor (11), the rotor (11) being connected to a cutting structure (7) so as to drive the cutting structure (7) in use, wherein the stator (13) and rotor (11) are spaced radially outwardly of the axis of rotation of the rotor (11) such that at least one of the stator (13) and the rotor (11) is formed with an access bore (15) that extends through the motor to a position adjacent the cutting structure (7) and through which, in use, a further object (17) can be inserted, without obstruction from the stator (13) and rotor (11). Examples of the cutting structure include a drill bit, a reaming shoe, or a coring tool operative to cut a sample core for subsequent analysis.
La présente invention concerne un appareil (5) permettant de couper un puits de forage (1), lappareil (5) comprenant un moteur équipé dun stator (13) et dun rotor (11), le rotor (11) étant raccordé à une structure coupante (7) de façon à entraîner la structure coupante (7) lors de lutilisation. Le stator (13) et le rotor (11) sont espacés radialement vers lextérieur de laxe de rotation du rotor (11) de façon que le stator (13) et/ou le rotor (11) comprennent un trou daccès (15) qui sétend à travers le moteur vers une position adjacente à la structure coupante (7) et à travers lequel, lors de lutilisation, un objet supplémentaire (17) peut être inséré, sans obstruction par le stator (13) ni le rotor (11). Des exemples de la structure coupante comprennent un trépan, un aléseur ou un outil de carottage fonctionnant pour découper une carotte de sondage en vue dune analyse future.
