An apparatus for a method of inhibiting and overriding the normal operating mode of one or more input devices connected to a communications network (14). The present invention functions within an electrical network made up of a plurality of input devices wherein a group of input devices is capable of commanding an electrical control device (18) to apply and remove electrical power from an electrical load connected thereto. The input devices or nodes communicate with the electrical control device over a communications network. When one of the input devices is turned off, the normal operating mode of all the other input sensors (16) are inhibited. The electrical control device remains inhibited until the input devices are no longer in the off position. Thus, electrical power to the load (22) controlled by the electrical control device remains disconnected until all input devices are in the on position. Local and remote signaling, control and indication diagnostic and monitoring functions are also provided.
La présente invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif permettant de bloquer et de contourner le mode de fonctionnement normal d'au moins un organe d'entrée connecté à un réseau de communications (14). La présente invention fonctionne dans le cadre d'un réseau électrique constitué d'une pluralité d'organes d'entrée à l'intérieur de laquelle un groupe d'organes d'entrée est capable de commander à un organe de commande électrique (18) d'alimenter ou d'arrêter d'alimenter en électricité une charge électrique qui lui est connectée. Les organes d'entrée ou les noeuds communiquent avec l'organe de commande électrique via un réseau de communications. Lorsque l'un des organes d'entrée est arrêté, le mode d'exploitation normal de tous les autres détecteurs d'entrée (16) est bloqué. L'organe de commande électrique reste bloqué jusqu'à ce que les organes d'entrée ne soient plus à l'état arrêté. Il en résulte que l'alimentation électrique de la charge (22) commandée par l'organe de commande électrique reste déconnecté jusqu'à ce que tous les organes d'entrée soient à l'état en marche. L'invention concerne également des fonctions de signalisation en local et à distance, des fonctions de diagnostic et de surveillance des commandes et des indications.
