In an apparatus for disinfecting contact lenses (19, 20), said contact lenses are immersed in a reaction vessel (1) with a 3 % H2O2-solution (21). The contact lenses (19, 20) are placed in a lens holder (13, 14) on a frame (6) which also comprises a catalyst (9) in a compartment (7), to which the H2O2- solution has access. The catalyst (9) neutralizes the H2O2-solution, but said neutralization is delayed at first by the developed oxygen being collected and maintained in contact with the surface of an apertured system of spokes (10; 10a to 10h) of the catalyst (9) in such a manner that the disinfecting effect is improved.
Dans un appareil de désinfection des lentilles de contact (19,20) on immerge ces dernières dans un récipient de réaction (1) avec une solution à 3% de H¿2?O¿2? (21). On place ensuite lesdites lentilles de contact (19, 20) dans un réceptacle de lentilles (13,14) monté sur un cadre (6) comprenant également un catalyseur (9) situé dans un compartiment (7) auquel la solution de H¿2?-O¿2? peut accéder. Ledit catalyseur (9) neutralise la solution de H¿2?-O¿2?, la neutralisation étant retardée d'abord par la collecte de l'oxygène développé et son maintien en contact avec la surface d'un système de bras à ouvertures (10, 10a à 10h) du catalyseur (9) de manière à améliorer l'effet de désinfection.
