The apparatus (100) is a semi-cylindrical component (200) having a body defined by a wall, a top, and a base. The wall has at least one flat wall face and surrounds a hollow interior. An indentation for receiving a structural support is present in at least one flat wall face. A means (510, 520) for securing the shaped component to the structural support and for firmly seating one component at its flat wall face against the second component (300) at its flat wall face when two components are present. Preferably, each component has a plurality of impact absorbing indentations, each having an aperture, a base and a wall extending from the base to an aperture mouth. These indentations function to re-distribute the energy of impact when a collusion occurs between the apparatus and a moving object. Preferably, each component is formed by rotational molding from a plastic resin.
L'appareil (100) est un composant semi-cylindrique (200) présentant un corps délimité par une paroi, une tête et une base. La paroi présente au moins une face plate et entoure un intérieur creux. Il est prévu, sur au moins une face plate, une découpure destiné à recevoir un support de construction. Il est également prévu des moyens (510, 520) pour la fixation du composant profilé sur ledit support et pour l'appui rigide d'un composant sur sa face plate à l'encontre d'un second composant (300), sur sa face plate, lorsque deux composants sont présents. De préférence, chaque composant présente une pluralité de découpures absorbant les chocs, chacune d'elles présentant une ouverture, une base et une paroi s'étendant de la base vers une entrée de l'ouverture. Ces découpures ont pour fonction de redistribuer l'énergie d'un choc en cas de collision entre l'appareil et un objet en déplacement. De préférence, chaque composant est formé par moulage par rotation d'une résine de matière plastique.
