An apparatus for rectification liquids and/or for scrubbing of gases has an elongated, horizontally extending, cylindrical process chamber or housing (1). A liquid and a gaseous phase are passed counter-currently through the apparatus. The liquid is thrown outwardly towards the peripheral housing wall (5) by means of a rotor (2) extending along the bottom of the housing. Liquid flowing downwards along the peripheral housing wall (5) is collected in an upwardly open channel (25) and the liquid collected therein may be supplied to the rotor via an adjustable slot or opening (28). Transversely extending, axially spaced guide plates (7-9) are arranged within the housing (1) so as to define a tortuous path for the gas phase flowing through the housing.
L'invention concerne un appareil permettant de rectifier des liquides et/ou de laver des gaz, qui comprend une chambre de traitement ou un logement (1) cylindrique allongé, s'étendant horizontalement. Une phase liquide ou gazeuse traverse l'appareil à contre-courant. Le liquide est projeté vers l'extérieur en direction de la paroi périphérique (5) du logement au moyen d'un rotor (2) qui s'étend au fond dudit logement. Le liquide qui s'écoule vers le bas, le long de la paroi périphérique (5) du logement est collecté dans un canal (25) ouvert vers le haut, le liquide ainsi collecté alimentant le rotor via une fente ou une ouverture (28) réglable. Des plaques de guidage (7-9) espacées axialement, s'étendant transversalement, sont disposées dans le logement (1) de manière à définir un chemin tortueux pour la phase gazeuse qui s'écoule à travers le logement.
