The discharge end of a smelt spout of a recovery boiler of a pulp mill is operatively associated with at least two obliquely downwardly oriented nozzles for intersecting the path of the dropping smelt. The nozzles are disposed to provide, at a time, at least one jet coming from one or the other side of the centreline to secure a continuous breaking up of the smelt falling down from the spout.

Une extrémité d'évacuation de goulotte de salin pour chaudière de récupération d'usine de pâte à papier fonctionne de concert avec au moins deux buses obliques dirigées vers le bas et destinées à croiser la voie du salin qui tombe. Les buses sont positionnées pour qu'au moins un jet à la fois, provenant de l'un ou de l'autre côté de l'axe longitudinal, assure en permanence la rupture du salin qui tombe en sortant de la goulotte.
