A method of injection moulding a sole or a part of the sole of an article of footwear from an expandable material is disclosed. The method is characterised by by forming a mould chamber that has at least a main sub--chamber and at least one other sub-chamber and injecting controlled amounts of the expandable material into the sub-chambers so that the sole is formed with different densities of the same expanded material in the sub-chambers.

L'invention décrit un procédé de moulage par injection d'une semelle ou d'une partie de la semelle d'un article de chaussure à partir d'un matériau expansible. Le procédé est caractérisé par la fabrication d'une chambre de moule qui possède au moins une sous-chambre principale et au moins une autre sous-chambre, et par l'injection de quantités régulées du matériau expansible dans les sous-chambres, de telle sorte que la semelle est formée avec des densités différentes du même matériau expansé dans les sous-chambres.
