The present invention provides an electrical connection device for a machine cable comprising a first connector having a first contact and a second connector having a second contact the connectors being moveable between a disengaged condition in which the first and second contacts are remote from each other and an engaged condition in which the first and the second contacts are electrically connected. The device also comprises a drive for imparting a driving force to drive the first and the second connectors relative to each other whereby the first connector and the second connector move between the disengaged and the engaged positions. The drive is arranged to distribute the driving force around at least a portion of at least one of the first and the second connectors to minimize wedging, canting or seizing between connector surfaces and allows minimal mechanical clearance to provide a narrow path.
L'invention concerne un dispositif de connexion électrique pour un câble machine, comprenant un premier connecteur présentant un premier contact, et un second connecteur présentant un second contact, les connecteurs étant déplaçables entre un état déconnecté, dans lequel le premier et le second contacts sont à distance l'un de l'autre, et un état connecté, dans lequel le premier et le second contacts sont connectés électriquement. Le dispositif comprend également des moyens d'entraînement destinés à impartir une force pour entraîner le premier et le second connecteurs l'un par rapport à l'autre, permettant au premier connecteur et au second connecteur de se déplacer entre les positions déconnectée et connectée. Les moyens d'entraînement sont agencés pour répartir la force d'entraînement autour d'au moins une portion d'au moins du premier ou du second connecteur pour minimiser le coinçage ou le grippage entre les surfaces des connecteurs et autoriser un jeu mécanique minimum pour avoir une trajectoire de flamme étroite.
