A liquid separator configured to separate liquid from a fluid stream. The separator includes a housing, a separation chamber disposed within the housing, a drain having a drain passageway for draining liquid from the separation chamber, an inlet chamber configured to receive the fluid stream, an inlet channel configured to communicate the fluid stream from the inlet chamber to the separation chamber, a swirler disposed within the inlet channel, and an outlet channel configured to communicate the fluid stream from a first outlet end positioned proximate the second inlet end, to a second outlet end remote from the separation chamber. Preferably, the separator also includes a separator mounting face proximate the inlet chamber, the mounting face configured for mounting the separator to a humidifier. The housing preferably includes a base and a cap which is removably mountable to the base
L'invention concerne un séparateur de fluide conçu pour séparer un liquide d'un écoulement de fluide. Le séparateur susmentionné comprend un boîtier, un chambre de séparation disposée à l'intérieur du boîtier, un drain pourvu d'un passage de vidange pour vidanger le liquide de la chambre de séparation, une chambre d'amenée conçue pour recevoir l'écoulement de fluide, un canal d'amenée conçu pour acheminer l'écoulement de fluide depuis la chambre d'amenée vers la chambre de séparation, une coupelle de turbulence placée dans le canal d'amenée, et un canal d'évacuation conçu pour acheminer l'écoulement de fluide depuis une première extrémité d'évacuation placée à proximité de la seconde extrémité d'amenée, vers une seconde extrémité d'évacuation à distance de la chambre de séparation. De préférence, le séparateur comprend également une face de montage de séparateur à proximité de la chambre d'amenée, laquelle face est conçue pour permettre le montage du séparateur sur un humidificateur. Le boîtier comprend, de préférence, une base et un couvercle monté de manière amovible sur la base.
