There is described a method for controlling the output of a tidal hydroelectric turbine generator (10) from a remote location, without the need for control circuitry to be housed local to the generator. The rotational speed of the turbine (10), and consequently the output power level of the generator, is controlled by varying the transmission line voltage of the submarine pow-er cable (24) connecting the off-shore turbine with an on-shore substation (22).
L'invention porte sur un procédé de commande de la sortie d'un générateur à turbine hydroélectrique marémotrice (10) à partir d'un emplacement à distance, sans avoir à recourir à des ensembles de circuits de commande logés localement par rapport au générateur. La vitesse de rotation de la turbine (10) et, par conséquent, le niveau de puissance de sortie du générateur, est commandée par la variation de la tension de ligne de transmission du câble d'alimentation sous-marin (24) reliant la turbine en mer à une sous-station à terre (22).
